CCD in our parish is Youth Formation Classes. Monday nights. Special classes (first communion, etc are Sunday morning before our 1 mass). We have Children's Mass for preschools- they leave right before the homily and come back before communion. They usually do some type of craft based on the reading for the day. I guess I am old school - we sit up front so my son can see everything and he knows he has to be good in church. No toys, etc.
