Expectation out of sons teacher
Okay I didn't know how else to title this but here is the problem.
My oldest son is 8 and we got a call from the school nurse 2 days ago saying he had been struck in the head and had a wound but not deep, did bleed alot but said big M was a real trooper. Other than that no phone call from his teacher, no note from his teacher either about the incident. So yesterday my son gets off the bus and on the opposite side of his forehead he has 2 new wounds. Of course I was concerned but tried to brush it off with my son that he needed to stay away from thrown items. In fact this morning as I was putting him on the bus I asked him to try not to come home with a new wound.
The teacher did call last night to let me know about the new wounds but I guess it was a little late since he was already home and I saw the injury. I did thank her for calling and she did assure me that she was calling the parents of the child that threw the items the last two days.
Now after that long winded story I guess my question is should I demand more from the school because this child threw something each day because he was mad at the teacher (who I am becoming to think she just cannot handle this class). On the other hand I think I should wait alittle bit more before going to the principle about these incidents.
Any great wisdom would be great on how to deal with this would be appreciated.
Sincerely,
Michelle
