I first sought out this site when I was starting my search for my birth family. I wanted the camaraderie of others who were going through the same journey.
And as I explained in my post to wishfulthinker above, I of course acknowledge that there are some challenges and issues that (at least some of us) as adoptees face (in my case, those challenges have mainly had to do with sealed records). But people face all kinds of challenges in life. That doesn't (in my opinion) make us damaged or wounded simply by the fact that we were adopted.
I think there are lots of people on this site who don't feel "wounded," but are simply working through things that are going on in their adoptions, searches, etc., and like to talk about it.
