Hi,

Did you turn in any forms? Did you pay for nonidentifying information? If so, then yes, you do have to meet with the case worker to get the info -- pain in the butt, but worth it to get the info. Maybe a face to face visit would be good because you can plead with them to check your file. If both parties send in consent-to-contact forms then you should be able to get information. But I see you are from Utah. Were you born and adopted there also. If so, it is the hardest state to get information from. But don't give up! Get that non-identifying information and keep searching. I am a birthmom who relinquished in GA through LDSFS. I went through a lot of trouble to get the information that the law said I was supposed to have. But persistence won out. If I can help PM me. I will do what I can.

Good Luck,

Deb
