I would check with your agency/attorney to make sure what is allowed in your state as far as a gift. Some states are very strict. That being said, we took a gift bag STUFFED with every kind of chocolate you could imagine, because she loved chocolate, and brought flowers the day after Nate was born. I had also bought a large leather bound photo album to give her as kind of a promise of the pictures we would send to fill it - but in the end it was all sooo emotional, and things got complicated, and we didn't give it to her. It just never seemed the right time to be like, " here's a photo album - thanks for the baby". Does that makes sense? The whole day was sooo emotional and "real" that it just would have seemed forced to give it to her. I think it all depends on the situation and what kind of relationship you have and plan on having in the future.

I just had professional pics taken of Nate and I had a ton of them made into 4 x 6 and put them in the book. I plan on giving it to her at our next meeting. I think she will really like it.
