DD is from China. She came home at 13 mo. She also didn't say to many words at 18 months. She was evaluated by EI (I recommend it whether you see a problem or not. They had many good ideas to jumpstart language) and found to be within the normal range. At a little over 2 years she had a "language explosion" like Joyloo said. It was amazing! Now at 2 1/2 yrs she talks constantly and sings constantly, too. She can sing the whole song "Tomorrow" from the movie "Annie" with no mistakes. It amazes me how far she's come! I was worried to death this time last year! My pediatritian kept saying to give her time and it would all work out. Luckily it did! Hang in there!
