Bunk beds are ok, I have one. I don't know about trundle beds though. Kids 5 and under of opposite gender can share a room. Don't know what age can use the bunk beds though as my DD is 11 and any child in her room would be 5 + yrs old.

A child can stay in a baby bed at least until age 3, but longer if the situation warrants it. Case in point, my FD is very small and even a tot bed without the bars would be huge for her and she would have the potential of rolling off, so she can stay in a crib until such time as she is able to be safe in a bigger bed.Children can be in same room as parents until age 3. Children of same gender can be up to 6 yrs apart in age in same room.

Nice to hear you are receiving support form family and friends. It makes it so much easier to have that.
