I remembered this one from an email and I couldn't resist! It's all in fun...diapers, high heels, dresses and chickens
The Republican chicken farmer–
1. Looks for new sources of chicken feed.
2. Builds storage silos for large quantities of chicken feed.
3. Speculates: buys more feed in bulk when prices are low.
4. Allows some of the chickens to roam the farmyard to eat slugs and worms.
5. Invests in successful chicken feed companies who appear more profitable as a result of increasing prices.
6. Considers growing more chicken feed himself.
7. Analyzes the business opportunity that probably exists since feed is in short supply. Starts another chicken feed company if the opportunity looks profitable.
The Democrat chicken farmer–
1. Forms a chicken foundation to save the earth and humanity. This foundation:
-hires a bunch of scientists to show how chicken feed and chicken emissions are harming the environment.
-supports increased taxes on chicken feed to keep prices high so all farmers will buy less feed.
-insists on development of “alternative chicken feeds” even though the technology isn’t really proven, the alternative is not nutritious and chickens hate it.
-discourages farmers from letting chickens eat slugs and worms because they’re part of the farmyard ecosystem; files for protection of slugs and worms as endangered species.
-files environmental lawsuits to block the permitting and building of additional chicken feed companies or feed processing plants.
-hires protestors, agitators and television crews and buses them to the chicken feed factories to protest high prices. Takes advantage of a sympathetic news media to broadcast these “public” demonstrations. When the police come to take care of public order, causes a riot. Solicits donations from folks who believe everything they hear on television, telling them why they need to support this noble cause.
-publicizes every dropped feather as a “chicken spill.” Requires expensive cleanup.
2. Works to elect politicians who will dictate chicken farming policy to ALL chicken farmers. Supports legislation requiring farmers to:
-feed their chickens less,
-hobble their chickens so they won’t burn so much energy,
-raise smaller chickens to conserve feed, even though they don’t feed as many people,
-continue using some of the chicken feed to make biofuel to heat the hen house, even though chickens are starving,
-turn down heat in the hen house,
-raise taxes on chicken farmers who appear to be making a profit,
-promote a “windfall profits tax” on chicken feed companies that appear to be making a profit from high prices and give part of the money to consumers who eat chickens or eggs, and
put a cap on the number of chickens a farmer can have.
-Require farmers who have too many chickens to buy “chicken credits” from brokers.
3. With the help of his brother-in-law and a laptop computer, he creates a “chicken credit” trading company. This successful chicken credit brokerage keeps 3 percent of the money exchanged to cover overhead and profits.
4. Starts a chicken preserve. Preserve status allows him to ignore the new ESA regulations regarding slugs and worms. He supports the preserve by selling “chicken credits” via his brokerage, to chicken farmers with too many chickens.
Now, compare the results:
Under the Republican scenario…
…our chicken farmer/feedstore operator makes good business decisions and is able to target the chicken farming activities that make the most money. Under the free market system he is becoming wealthy and people are eating quality chickens that they buy at a fair price.
Some people are jealous of his success and accuse him of ripping off chicken consumers even though they all profit by having chicken farm jobs and plenty of food.
Under the Democrat plan…
…our chicken farmer is no longer a chicken farmer. In fact most chicken farmers have been forced out of business by excessive taxes and regulations. There are only a couple of very large chicken farm operators and they must charge a fortune for chickens to meet expenses.
Instead, our farmer is now a wealthy chicken foundation CEO, a chicken credit broker, and the administrator of a wild chicken preserve. He is making huge amounts of money from donations, brokerage fees and chicken credit sales—much of which he uses to fund political campaigns and news media outlets of his choice.
None of his activities actually save the earth or feed people, and his activities contribute little to the nation’s economy, yet he is able to convince the masses that he represents poor people and the environment.
The public is learning to eat tofu.
