Our FD *A* has seizures on a daily basis and her Neurologist is still trying to sort out which medication/dosage etc. will get them under control. Thankfully her seizures are not the type that cause her to loose consciousness, she just tenses up and spasms a number of times per episode.

Anyways, her Pediatrician is the one who put in the referral to a Pediatric Neurologist. The Neurologist ordered an EEG which is what detected some abnormal brain waves and then later ordered a MRI of her brain which came back normal. What this told the Neurologist was that there was no underlying secondary issue causing the seizures. It's just Epilepsy (which often times doesn't have a *reason* behind it) so now we're just left trying to figure out how to get them under control.

You definitely need to get a referral to a Neurologist for her. INSIST on it if you have to. The Neurologist will do further testing from there to narrow down what is happening and get to the bottom of it.
