Our daughter had an episode a few years ago where she vomitting and then started having a seizure. She had only vomitted twice before she started having the seizures. I took her to the doctor and he said she wasn't dehydrated. While he was checking her she had a seizure. So, he knew for sure that's what it was. He sent us to the hospital and had dd admitted. He ordered bloodwork on her and put a rush order on it. Well, it was about 3 hours before they came and did it. So, all that time she was throwing up and having seizures. Anyway, they ended up giving her and I.V. to keep her fluids up. They couldn't figure out why she was having the seizures. However, on her records they put down that she was dehydrated. Well, ya, she probably was by the time they did anything for her. But that's not what caused her seizures.

So, anyway, they never figured it out. The doctor said that it must have been one of those things that just happened without a reason.

Well, today she vomitted on the bus ride home. A couple of hours later she was sitting on the couch and her face went completly white, including her lips. She started vomitting and then fell over. Her eyes rolled back and she started having a seizure. It only lasted a few seconds. We took her to the hospital and they did blood work, took a urine sample, and did a CT scan. They said everything came back normal. They sent us home with a prescription for a medicine to help with her nausea.

So, I guess what I'm asking, in my long winded way, is have you ever experienced this?

We are baffled. I hate not knowing why she is having seizures. She doesn't get them everytime she gets sick. She had gone 3 1/2 years without having them. But I don't like her having them at all!
