We have had a nightmare with rashes. E has had Staph, a Fungal Infection (the hardest to treat) and Impetigo. We have tried everything and for him the thing that works best is something called Altabex (which was doctor perscribed).
Nothing like Bordeaux's really for rashes like that and nothing in the bath but plain water and/or Cetaphil. We have all the yummy California Baby stuff but I don't let him near ANYTHING (even natural stuff like Tea Tree or Lavender can be an irritant). So that's the first thing.
You need to first make sure it's not systemic so you do need to go the doc. If you can go straight to a pediatric dermatologist. We struggled for months but when he saw a good Pdoc Derm everything was completely under control.
It's better to put nothing at all than diaper rash cream on a rash when you don't know what it is btw. Keep her cool and dry in a loose diaper. Did you introduce any new foods or products? Did you take her temp? Is she outgrowing the size diaper she is in? Let her go diaperless but yeah call the doc. It might need something like our Altabex or a pediatric anti fungal or steroid cream or anti biotics or all or nothing but you need a doc to tell you.
I so feel for you with the "what happened to my baby thing" ugh I'm so glad his rashes are under control now. I had sleepless nights too.
