My oldest son had a boy Cabbage Patch Doll when he was four - my elderly aunts bought it for him because his baby brother was due any day and they thought he needed a baby to take care of, while I was taking care of the other baby .

My middle son had lots of friends who were girls when he was 3-4 years old (because all my friends only had daughters). So he played Barbies at their houses ALL the Time. In fact he got a Ken doll for his 4th Birthday. Of course Ken would shoot things, blow things up and get thrown all over the house.

My youngest son wanted NOTHING to do with dolls, kitchen stuff or anything girly in any way. In fact when was in preschool he would only draw with blue and red and brown crayons (because yellow, pink, purple, green, orange etc. were "girl colors"). He also did not like ANY girls "except for you mom and Miss Ashley" (his teacher). Of course he's in 5th grade now, and girls still make him nuts. But I know in just a few years he will be crazy about them like his older brothers .
