They did this without parent consent? I find that crazy. Was this mentioned at the beginning of the year - that is was a possibility. I would be questioning the school further. Can't his first teacher give some differentiation to keep him challenged. I'm guessing that leaving those friends and routine is why he is upset and I don't blame him!
