I wouldn't give them to them-not even altered.
If you think they will obsess, would it have to be those cards? I mean, could you make them cards on your computer and when they ask for the others give them yours instead?
Tell them, "Oh, mommy has something better. Look at the beautiful cards I made for you."
Will that shift the focus enough for them to move on?
