There's a LOT of discussion about the validity of this anymore, especially since the formula has been changed within recent years. I know there's been some challenge to this because of the one family who actually won some settlement from a manufacturer when their child was affected---BUT, it remains a mystery as to whether the child was actually affected DIRECTLY from the vaccine, or whether, do to the child's ALREADY EXISTING problems.......in my mind, the jury is still out.

I hate to have my kids vaccinated. But I'm also old enough to remember some kids at school who'd contracted polio and other maladies. I agree it's an individual choice; but while you or I might choose to do one thing regarding our children's health and vaccines, you can appreciate that other parents-who send their children to public functions/schools, etc need to be better assured that their child won't contract certain diseases from other children who might be unprotected, or even carriers.

I think if you could have a physician document that your child shouldn't be vaccinated, that would 'fly' with the military. Dh was military for eight years and while I know there were times things seemed to be written in stone, sometimes, there was a 'way around it', especially with something like this where the child may be more at risk.

Sincerely,

Linny
