that was the thinking a generation ago, where children were often removed if they seemed like they were attaching. However, I've never heard of that happening these days, and it is true that the prevailing thinking is that attachment is a positive thing. I'm sure there are probably a few old-fashioned SW's left somewhere, though. Hopefully in those cases, the children's therapists and CASA's step forward to intervene.
