I had that same fear with my twins. I was staying up all night just to put them back on their backs! Looking back, I guess that might have been a bit crazy. Our daughter is a belly sleeper and we tried flipping her over a few times, but it's just how she sleeps. I have been told as long as they have the strength to roll then they have the strength to pick their head up or move if they weren't getting air. The biggest things would be, taking the crib pad out if you haven't. One of my twins stopped breathing (hence, my fear) due to sticking his face between the mattress and crib pad. Also, of course, no stuffed animals or thick blankets that could suffocate.
