Yes, I know my son would not trust an officer in uniform. He's told me many times about how "M told me that cops take you to jail" etc.
The female detective tomorrow will be in plain clothes. I'm not sure if he'll trust a woman more...he's geared towards men, but there was an allegation about the mom's boyfriend that was unfounded too.
We're actually not going to the PD, thankfully. It's going to be at a place that is set up for foster kids to visit their parents...they have an interview room there. I've heard its very much like a house.
