Dumb butt here had only bought one (really cool, with a skeleton with light-up eyes) hat for him. When he left it at school the very first day, I hadn't learned yet to just buy a bunch of cheap ones. So we went back to the store (in the snow) that night and bought another but I really wanted to just send him without! Knowing him, he would have said to his mom at his visit, "Miss Lisa made me go to school with no hat on and I was so cold."

I love the idea of logical consequences but am just leery of implementing with foster kids.
