I think I found my birth father ...
Thirty-one years ago, my birth father left my mother and me and we have had zero contact since. I am married, and my mother-in-law helped me search online for my birth father. We found what we think is him -- the right name, the right city, etc. My mother-in-law wrote a letter to him, thinking it would be less threatening if a third-party contacted him. But he has never responded, not to my mother-in-law and not to me (she gave him my address too). He knows about me; he knows that I have a one-year-old son who shares his name with the father I've never met. What do I do, when he apparently wants no contact with me? It hurts so badly, this rejection ...
