We just hit over ten weeks in the hospital (8 PICU and the last 2 med surge). We'll be hanging out here until after Cameron's 2nd stage Glenn. I'm guessing we'll go home in August, if things go well. He's still being fed in his jejunum, but it still aspirating on the secretions he's coughing up. His sat limit has been lowered to 60. The last 3 days he has lost weight, so we're trying to figure that out (his formula is already supplemented with oil) too. And, he's in the beginning stages of osteopenia, due to all of the lasix he has needed. His bones are starting to de-mineralize and at some point he fractured a rib (possibly during one of his open heart surgeries). Wow that turned into a book. He just got his pic line out yesterday and is
finally done with his IV antibiotics.

Here's to no more infections!
As for us, we're still waiting to see if the military will approve my husband's reassignment here. And if all this stuff wasn't enough, I'm taking an online math class. Fun.

Life is beautiful, but it's complicated.
We barely make it.
We don't need to understand,
There are
miracles, miracles.
Yeah, life is beautiful.
Our hearts, they beat and break.
