[Summer95]

Today I had my yearly check-up with the doctor when the fragility (is this even a word) of life smacked me right in the face. He found a lump in my left breast. Now once I heard these words everything following was as if I was hearing it through a tunnel. He did say that more than likely it is a benign fibroid tumor, but he wants a mammogram just to make sure.

Is anyone familiar with fibroid tumors, are they common and do they have to be removed? I would goggle it, but I am a little bit apprehensive about the information I may find. At this point, I am not even thinking about the alternative, just keeping myself focused, staying positive and praying.
