From what i have read the current age for a child to be considered "abandoned" is 1 year old then the child has to be refused for domesetic adoption 3 times. Only then is the childput in the system for international adoption. What the MOJ wants to do now is possibly change the "abandoned" age to 6 months old so that children can be placed into a home earlier, but there is noknown date for this to occur.

As for the age limit i think that does vary from agency to agency and province to province and country to country.
