As another poster said it still might be a while before 'your' BMI is scheduled. I'm not defending your atty but most likely she booked this trip to Alaska months in advance, probably did not purchase insurance (and would a pending BMI qualify?) and I doubt had any idea when she booked it that this whole process would still be in such a mess at this point. Basically - any vacation taken since mid last year could be poor timing for a lot of people - the rush to get referrals, the rush to get POA before Dec. 31, the rush to register CNA earlier this year - I mean it has been CRAZY. So, I'm thinking the atty is taking a well-deserved vacation and will return and FIGHT to get your child and others home as quickly as this bureaucratic and ever-changing system allows.
