It was such a relief to find this site a few weeks ago! I am new here (obviously) and wanted to introduce myself a little bit. Sometime it seems like there are so many complications in my life I don't know where to start, lol.
I am a single mom with 2 boys. Z is my bio son, who is almost 9 yo. M is my adopted son, who is 8 1/2 yo. They are 5 months apart in age, as well as 1st cousins on bio dad's side. M was born addicted and has FAE. We are facing several health issues as well as some DD. He was placed with me when he was released from the hospital at birth. I keep in contact with bio parents and limit contact with M due to inapproperiate comments/questions that come up (both parents are DD).
As a family, we have always been open about the adoption and treated it as a special thing. We have adoption day party and a birthday party. The boys are very close and get along like they have lived together all of their life. They are best friends or killing each other, lol.
