Sort of...
When I started cloth diapering my grandparents were just abuot bowing down to me in admiration and talking to everyone under the sun about it. I got sick of it. I think even their neighbors knew I was using cloth. I don't do it for the acclaim, I do it for Ty, and the Major Mother (earth) finally, when someone asked me about it I said. Eh...like all parenting, it's mainly a pain in the butt (but not that word), but you just do what you know you should for your kids.
When I switched to all organic stuff, and made all Ty's skin care products it started again. So I just told them it was because I was cheap (still close to Sainthood in my grandparents book).
I always feel like I should be doing more. DH needs much less sleep than I do. I get really ill and almost non-functioning with a highly disrupted sleep pattern. Thankfully Ty has always been a pretty good sleeper, but now that he is getting up again, I get up, make the bottle and almost throw it at DH, who feeds Ty. I always feel like I should feed him sometimes, but I usually don't and go back to sleep. I know some women would kill for a DH like that, but it gives me a lot of guilt!
Over all though, I *AM* proud of how I raise Ty and that's all I need. I don't need others to tell me I'm doing a great job. They they might thing their opinion matters, and that's the last thing I need from my grandparents (or in laws for that matter!)....
