I'm not 'expecting' (though I am waiting, waiting, waiting), but wanted to jump in and offer an option to the baby shower. After we adopted our son we had 2 "sip n see" parties... come
sip something tasty and
see the baby! It was a baby shower with the baby as the main attraction. I never wanted to listen to pregnancy stories - couldn't participate in those conversations - or jinx any possible situation, so it was the perfect solution for my friends and me. So get to planning those parties, for before or after!
