You can also get rid of comments all together. That's what I did. Or as dac cincy said you can moderate the comments and not approve hers.

You can also get a tracker so that you can see who is visiting your blog. I have a free one so it only tells me the city and IP address, but I can tell which one of my friends have been on just from that. Mine is from site meter.com
