I think you should contact her and tell her what you posted here...
My son's firstmom and dad went through the same thing - she told him she was pregnant, and he ran for the hills.
Six years later, he found her and wrote her a very heartfelt apology for how he treated her and that he hoped she would forgive him...which she did (and it's not always easy for her to forgive, so it was a very big step for her, but she did so because he was so sincere and as she said, everyone deserves a second chance).
And although they aren't the best of friends, they certainly have a greater amount of respect for each other.
