My first mother's day was not bad, so I guess I'm happy. All the relatives called me to wish me a happy first, and my daughter gave me a card. She also spent the entire weekend in her bedroom refusing to do the things we needed to do in order to go to a movie and stuff yesterday, so we didn't go.
We did go to my brother's last night-his girlfriend of 12 years just left him and he's depressed. B 'parent shopped' him is about the only way to put it.
But at least there was no drama and no arguments.
I'm sorry that so many had to have a crap mother's day.
