Prepared

My cousins took me shopping about a month ago, and we stocked up on everything you would need for a baby for 24 hours or so - box of bottles, bag of diapers, wipes, 4 outfits (unisex), socks, towels, washcloths, a super soft blankie, and a botle of dreft. I also bought a pack-n-play so he/she would have a place to sleep in our room to begin with. These things make me feel hopeful and prepared in case things happen quickly.

I am all too aware that nothing is for sure until TPR is signed, and decorating a nursery ahead of time would be too hard on me if it falls through. Also, I want to decorate a nursery specifically for the baby that I end up adopting. I don't want to settle for a yellow room when in my heart I know exactly how I want it to be for a girl or a boy! There is a whole lot that I don't have any control over in this process, but I am going to have the nursery I have been planning in my mind for years, darn it!

Just my perspective.
