Different states run the classes differently. And sometimes, if you sign up with a private agency that contracts with the state to do foster care, the class schedule can be even more different.

The only way to know for sure is to start the process. Call your local Department of Family Services (or whatever they call it in your area) and attend an orientation meeting. They'll fill you in on required classes, homestudies, other requirements, etc that apply in your area.
