You will need to contact your state Childrens Services office and start the process of a homestudy and classes. There are so many things the state will look at. Single people are not excluded but, I have heard that men often have a more difficult time getting all the certification done....... Everything will depend on your past, and you current situation, and why you wish to do this work. Good Luck
