My husband and I are just starting the process as well. We have chosen Designated Adoption Service in Lakewood. They are an open adoption agency, very small, they only take 12 adoptive/waiting parents at a time. It is run by two awesome woman. We are just now in the process of turning in our paperwork this Friday and will then begin the homestudy. I have two friends who also recommended DA to me and they could not be happier with their decision. I have no idea how long we will have to wait, but both my friends only waited about 6 months each.
