Glad it worked for you; I tried that lookup in my case and came up empty the several times I tried. I even live in the next town over from where I was born and you'd think they'd have complete newspaper archives. I learned from someone that works in a research room at a local library that if the birth was not welcome (in my case unplanned) the parents or grandparents may not put a paid ad in the paper. It is up to the discretion of the parents in many cases; it is not always an automatic when there are births in the local hopital, at least in our area of CA.
