Have you thought about...

Hi there Chassis!

Have you ever thought about fost/adopt? It seems being a pediatric nurse would give you so many oportunites to find firsthand abandoned/neglected/abused babies that are referred to social services! I know there is that risk of being returned to the birthparents, but atleast your arms would be full and love given to a child that so desperately needs it!

Our foster mom for our adopted daughter was a pediatric nurse. She took in lots of babies with the goal of having someone else adopt them (she was in her 60's.) It did my heart good knowing my daughter had the utmost care before coming into our home at 9 months.

I am sorry you are hurting regarding your friends insensitivity. That is so painful. Do they ask you questions regarding your adoption journey or are they wrapped up in their pregnancies only? Maybe it is time to search for a friend that is in the same process you are in...and spend a little less time with your friends until your waiting time is over. It depends on what hurts you more.

I would love to hear back from you!

Blessings,
sherryk
