Hi all!

Hi there Diane and Sharel,

I wanted to tell you that my husband also had the case of cold feet...after we were matched! It was so difficult for me to be excited while my husband is being so objective about the whole thing ("Really look her over to make sure she is OK.") Sometimes, what they are going through may be something else. For example, my husband was having difficulties with his parents' response to us adopting (we didn't tell them until we were matched, so it was all of a sudden). We didn't tell them because of their response to our other bio children ("Are you sure this is a good time?") - seems ridiculous. In fact, after my husband got over his cold feet and we took home one of the most beautiful babies I ever laid eyes on, my husband mentioned that he was having a hard time because with another child in the home, it took away more of my time (less for him.) So, you never know what our men are thinking.

Happy to say, not only is my hubby TOTALLY bonded with our daughter, but my in-laws love her to pieces...and tell her so often!

Sharel, our adoption process took nine months before placement. Kind of ironic. Actually, it seemed long, but was perfect timing. It usually is when it comes right down to it. Sounds like there are alot of sibling groups your sw is checking into! Keep us posted!

Anyone else waiting on siblings?

Blessings,
