A GAL is a guardian ad litem, that looks out for the child's best interest. Keep us posted on how the homestudy goes. Closer and closer you come.....Hey I want one of those playhouses, can you send me one to GA? LOL

Congrats! You have jumped through all the hurdles and now comes the hardest part....waiting. Keep us posted, I will be excited to hear that your first placement has arrived.
We can't find any special training for caring for drug addicted newborns here either. We had to go in blind and we were scared to death. Our 1st placement was a drug addicted 1 day old baby girl, she is now 14 months old and doing great. It was a long road but well worth it. If I can help you in any way just let me know.
