Adopting 2 year old - appropriate books, toys, clothing sizes

My husband is NRI and I am a not.
Does anyone have experience with BSSK in Pune? Appx processing times, general experience, child adjustments, etc. I will be staying in India with my husband's parents in Pune until paperwork is completed.
