My husband and I are also waiting to be matched witha child. I totally understand your situation. I think that you just have to go with your gut instinct. It sounds like people aren't being completely truthful with you. I can't help but wonder what else they might not be telling you.
The bottom line is, you have to trust your heart. If this situation is not right for you, then maybe the best thing is to turn it down. God has a chosen child for you and I firmly believe that you will "know" when the time is right.
