Actually I think it's probably a case of alot of Men have different timing than Women do. When an important event comes up, most of the Women I know get excited about it well in advance of the actual event. Nothing is wrong with that mind you, they just do. Men on the other hand, myself included tend to get excited as the event is close at hand. While we do get emotional about it, we also are generally very nervous about it. making sure everything is ready, or as ready as it can get anyway. Sometimes the nervousness can take the form of a guy not being very talkative. Generally, he deliberatly tries to avoid thinking about it to far ahead in order to not be a bundle of nerves throughout most of the process.
