I set up a nursery the minute I got a foster parenting license. It was really fun. I did find it discouraging when the room sat empty for a year while I waited for a foster placement (not many little ones in my area). It was even harder to look at when I had an adoption placement that fell through. I had to put everything in storage because I couldn't bear looking at it. Now that I'm trying again I'm kinda glad I have the things on hand even if they're not set up yet. I want to know for sure my little one is coming before I do anything. I guess the answer to that question really just depends on what you can handle if a placement falls through.

Hope this helps,
Dawn
