www.nacac.org. you can find detailed information about each state's policies. It really does vary. In Georgia, there is no set rate. It varies according to the needs of the child. If the child was in a foster care placement and was receiving a specialized rate (often called a "level of care" rate), then s/he is eligible for that same rate as an adopted child. Most older children qualify.
