Hungary adoptions

Hi. I just found this site today. We adopted a baby girl from China a year ago. I originally was looking into adopting from Hungary. My mom and dad are both from Budapest and my family still lives there (I was born here). The reason it is almost impossible to adopt is that Hungary's birthrate is very low. Also many couples in Hungary want to adopt and the gov. closed most foreign adoptions to allow for domestic. My cousin (who has considerable contacts) keeps looking for a possibility still for me. Afterall, Hungary does see me as a citizen of Hungary since both my parents were and I speak the language too. But it is still most unlikely. Another relative told me that what is called "mixed blood" children are available. That usually children of gypsy decent. Hope this helps anyone looking. But our daughter is so wonderful, we are heading back to China to get her a sister as soon as this SARS thing is over.
