First time and siblings

We are doing the very thing you are contemplating.

Finished the licensing process in 3-1/2 months and the day the license came in the mail they called with a possible match - 7 yr old twins, boy & girl. We've spent a lot of time with kids but this is the first go around raising them. It can be done.

The thing to remember is to know your limits and remember that when you look at the kids and the history. If you do not feel ready to handle RAD, FAS etc don't proceed.

We feel very fortunate. The twins have not signs of the big, scary things you find in adopted children. They have be tested for FAS/FAE and that was negative. They have bonded well and there are no major behavoir issues. Granted we are still in the honeymoon phase but they are doing quite well. So are we.

I say go for it.!
