PLEASE Pray--Brianna may not be able to come home.......
How is it possible to have quite possibly the greatest day of your entire life followed by what could be one of the worst days of your entire life......
Mother's Day was beautiful...everything I had hoped for...we told all our families about Baby Brianna and life was perfect!
Then one day later we find out that the Philippines supposedly does not allow "private adoptions". That if we tried to adopt Brianna we would not be able to leave the country with her....we are devastated!
We have paid the attorney in the Philippines, Mr. Reynaldo Bernardo, we have paid him in full for his services and now we are finding that this adoption would not be recognized in the law of the Philippine government...they ONLY allow adoptions of ORPHANED CHILDREN or RELATIVE CHILDREN....
I am still comitted to believing that I will accept only what God wants for our life. It just breaks my heart to know that Baby Brianna will be placed in an orphanage and then wait to be adopted by someone else, who knows when....
Please pray for my husband and I, Baby Brianna, and all our friends in the Philippines who were working to bring this all together....and of course, prayer for Candy, the foster mother of Brianna, my best friends sister.....
I am willing to accept whatever God wants for my life...I just don't want to see anyone else suffer, especially Baby Brianna....
