To withhold wether or not someone is adopted is not honest or being a good parent. Has this young lady had adoption counseling of any kind? I would not recommend that you tell her what I just mentioned but I would be thoughtful enough to provide her with counseling. This is so important. And of course to give her time. She may still have a closed adoption.
