Hi Princess, my husband and I starting praying about adoption in May 2002. In Aug-02 God called us to adopt. We started the homestudy in Aug-02 and completed homestudy and Mapp classes in Nov-02. We were approved by our state agency in Dec-02 and was chosen by a birthmom in Feb-03 and brought our little angel home March-03. We only waited 2 month from date approved with a state agency. We give God all the glory, honor, and praise. It was truly a miracle. We were told pursing adoption through a state agency could take 6 to 9 months. Remember it is God's timing and let him lead you and your wait could actually be weeks. There were people in my mapp class that adopted weeks after approved.
