I have read your site and have emailed you. Our family has been in a somewhat similar situation. And yes, I know that the state will very much take out the 'well children' and place with you the 'ill child'. It has been done in my state....and it is threatened more and more because adoptive parents are finding that they did not receive all the legal info they were supposed to previous to adoption. Therefore, some of these children are quite violent and dangerous to the rest of their family. Our state chooses to 'hide its head in the sand'....instead of admitting their mistake of trying to place a child at all costs. Our state was known as the 'leader' in older child adoptions....but according to a local adoption therapist.....years later, it was also leading the country for the most 'disupted adoptions'. I'm sorry, but it's my belief that there are just some kids who cannot be 'helped' unless they want to help themselves.
