I talked with the county supervisor last night. She indicated that the information that the assessor gave in the class was incorrect.
1. I can move furniture as I please in the house, so long as I do not displace a family member from their bed in order to give a foster child a bed (makes total sense to me)
2. I have to all beds set up at least once for the assessor to see- although twins/double and toddler beds can be in storage (like in the basement) when they are seen. I do have to have them in place if a child is placed with me when the child is brought into my home. The crib must be set up once during the homestudy and set up each time I recertified (to make sure it still meets federal guidelines for safety).

I feel so much better about this now. I am taking a few weeks off from my last classes, the schedule was impacting my son since I was out of the house multiple times a week. But the superviosr told me they will assign an assessor to me now since my application is complete- then I just have to finish the classes while the homestudy process is going on (3 visits- 1 per month if the schedule from when I certified for adoption holds true). I should be done with classes by the end of May and finished with the homestud process by end og July and then licensed sometime in December (yep it takes that long in my county).

Thanks for all your comments- they really encouraged me to dig deeper into what was going on.

Love to you,
